What belongs to Woven Paw
\n
The following are owned by Woven Paw or used under licence, and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws:
\n
\n
The name “Woven Paw” and our logo: a paw drawn as a single running-stitch line, with a thread tail and a stitched underline.
\n
Our finished embroidery designs, such as the paw trail on the Paw Trail Embroidered Polo, the peeking puppy on the Peeking Pup Embroidered Crewneck, the single-line cat on the Cat Line Art Embroidered Tee and the running-stitch paw outline on the Paw Print Embroidered Zip Hoodie.
\n
Product names, product descriptions, category texts, help pages, policy pages and the way the site is arranged.
\n
Product images and digital previews created for our listings.
\n
\n
2. What you are welcome to do
\n
\n
Link to any page of wovenpaw.shop and share it with friends.
\n
Post photos of a Woven Paw piece you bought, worn by you or modelled by your dog, and mention where it came from.
\n
Quote a short passage from our pages when you review or discuss our products, with a link back.
\n
Print a page for your own records, for example our Returns & Exchanges page before sending a return.
\n
\n
3. What you may not do
\n
\n
Copy, trace or recreate our finished designs to stitch, print or sell them yourself or through someone else.
\n
Reuse our product images, descriptions or page text on another store, marketplace listing or advertisement.
\n
Use the Woven Paw name or logo in a way that suggests you are us, work for us or are endorsed by us.
\n
Register domain names, social accounts or business names that are confusingly similar to Woven Paw.
\n
Scrape the site in bulk to copy its content.
\n
\n
If you would like to use something in a way not listed here, for example featuring one of our designs in an article, email us first. We reply within 24 hours on business days and we would rather say yes to a clear request than find our work copied.
\n
4. Your photos and your pet
\n
When you order a custom piece, you email us a photo of your pet. You keep every right you have in that photo. You give us permission to use it for one purpose only: to prepare the stitch rendering and make your order. We do not publish it, we do not add it to a gallery and we do not use it in advertising. Photos are deleted 30 days after delivery, as our Privacy Policy explains.
\n
The stitched piece we make from your photo is made for you. We do not resell or reuse an individual customer’s pet portrait design for anyone else.
\n
By sending a photo, you confirm that you took it yourself or have permission to use it. A portrait taken by a professional photographer usually belongs to the photographer, so ask for permission first or send one of your own snapshots instead. Your own clear daylight photo almost always stitches just as well.
\n
5. Why we will not stitch logos, characters or brands
\n
We regularly receive requests like “my dog’s face next to a team logo”, “my cat dressed as a famous cartoon character” or “the name of a sports brand above my pet”. We decline all of these, politely and without exception. Team names and crests, cartoon and film characters, brand names and logos, celebrity faces and other people’s artwork are protected by trademark, copyright or publicity rights, and we do not hold licences to use them.
\n
\n
What we can and cannot stitch on custom pieces
\n
\n
\n
We can stitch
\n
We cannot stitch
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
Your own pet’s face, from your own photo
\n
Sports team names, crests, mascots or colours arranged as a team logo
\n
\n
\n
Your pet’s name, up to 12 characters
\n
Cartoon, film, game or comic characters, including pets dressed as them
\n
\n
\n
Markings you describe in the note field
\n
Brand names, logos or slogans that belong to a company
\n
\n
\n
Our own Woven Paw designs
\n
Celebrity faces or other people’s artwork or photographs
\n
\n
\n
\n
If an order includes one of these in the pet name field or in an emailed request, we contact you. If it cannot be changed to something we can stitch, we cancel the order and refund it in full. The same rule protects you: no one can order a copy of your pet’s portrait or our designs through us.
\n
Pet names that happen to match a brand
\n
Lots of dogs and cats share a name with a famous product or character. A pet name stitched in our plain lettering under your pet’s face is fine: we stitch the name, not the brand’s logo, lettering style or artwork. If a name is typed in a way that is clearly meant to reproduce a brand or team mark, we will ask you about it before stitching.
\n
6. Real requests and how we answer them
\n
“Can you add my team’s crest next to Milo?”
\n
Dana loves her border collie and her local football club, and asks for the club crest beside Milo’s face on a Custom Pet Face Embroidered Crewneck. We reply that we cannot stitch the crest or the club’s name, because we hold no licence for them. We offer to stitch Milo’s face with his name only, or to cancel and refund in full if she would rather not go ahead. She keeps the order with the name MILO.
\n
“Please make my cat look like a famous cartoon cat”
\n
A customer asks for a stitched portrait of their tabby in the style of a well-known cartoon character, with the character’s outfit. A character’s look is protected even when it is drawn on a real pet, so we decline that styling. We can stitch the tabby’s own face as a simplified rendering from the photo, with the stripes and markings the customer lists in the note field.
\n
“I found your paw design on another shop”
\n
A customer spots our running-stitch paw outline on an unrelated listing and sends us the link. We thank them, check the listing and contact the seller or the marketplace under its own reporting process. Customers do not need to do anything more, and we never share the reporting customer’s details.
\n
7. Group, club and event orders
\n
Sometimes a dog club, a rescue group or a family reunion wants matching pieces. You are welcome to order several of our finished designs or several custom pieces with your own pets’ faces. We will not add a club, charity or event logo that belongs to another organisation unless that organisation is the one ordering and confirms in writing that it owns the logo, and even then we may decline if we cannot verify it. Our finished designs may not be reproduced by anyone else for a group order outside our store.
\n
8. Resale of our products
\n
Once you have bought a Woven Paw piece, you may give it away or resell that individual item second-hand. You may not present yourself as a Woven Paw seller, use our product images or descriptions in your listing, or offer new copies of our designs. If you see someone doing this, please tell us using the steps below.
\n
9. Respecting other people’s rights in our own designs
\n
Our finished designs are created for Woven Paw. We avoid designs that copy other sellers’ work, and we do not use breed artwork, photographs or illustrations we do not have the right to use. If you believe we have got this wrong, we want to hear from you.
\n
Breeds, poses and ordinary pet ideas
\n
Nobody owns the idea of a dog with a floppy ear, a sleeping cat or a paw print. Breeds, common poses and simple pet motifs are free for everyone to use, including us and including other sellers. What is protected is a particular piece of artwork: a specific photograph, a specific illustration or a specific finished design. When you report a concern, please point us to the specific work you believe was copied, not only to a similar subject. That helps us give you a clear answer quickly, and it helps us treat every creator fairly.
\n
The same applies to embroidery itself. A stitched rendering of a photo is a new piece of work, but it is still based on the photo, which is why we ask customers to send photos they have the right to use and why we take photographers’ concerns seriously.
\n
10. How to report a concern
\n
For trademark, design or other intellectual property concerns that are not copyright takedown notices, email support@wovenpaw.shop with the subject “IP concern” and include:
\n
\n
Your name, organisation (if any), postal address and email address.
\n
The right you hold: for a registered trademark, the mark, the registration number and the country of registration.
\n
The exact URL of each page or product on wovenpaw.shop that you are concerned about, and what on that page you mean.
\n
A short explanation of why you believe it infringes your rights.
\n
A statement that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
\n
\n
For copyright in photographs, illustrations or text, please use the steps on our DMCA page instead, because the law sets out specific elements for those notices.
\n
11. What happens after you report
\n
We acknowledge your message within 24 hours on business days. We then review the material and, where your concern is well founded, remove or change it, take the product offline or stop accepting related custom requests, and confirm what we did by email. If we disagree, we explain why. If someone else supplied the material, we let them know and may share your notice with them, with your personal contact details withheld where the law allows.
\n
12. Ideas and feedback
\n
We enjoy hearing ideas for new designs, Colors or products. If you send us a suggestion, we may use it without owing you payment, and we may already be working on something similar. Please do not send us confidential material or artwork you want to keep exclusive.
\n
13. Changes and contact
\n
We may update this policy as our range grows; the date at the top shows the latest version. Woven Paw, 13 Fern Place, Mandeville, LA 70471, US.
